My name is Rob Engels. I am a PACFA-certified somatic psychotherapist and counsellor. I specialise in trauma-informed awareness practices that dissolve the root causes of your suffering to liberate the freedom, authenticity and wholeness that is rightfully yours.
My work runs deep. It goes beyond the surface layer of stories, inviting you into an experiential, embodied understanding of your core wounds so that you can tend and safely heal them. Using powerful inquiry practices, I also help you access and resolve the unconscious programs that keep you in cycles of suffering.
This holistic approach encompasses mind, body, soul and spirit. All parts of you are welcome and all energies are given safe space for exploration. From depression, anxiety, grief, addiction, trauma, and shame, to feelings of not belonging or being unlovable, the medicine we so often need can be found in the heart of the wound itself.
Slowly, gently and safely, I guide you inwards, through the doorway of direct experience on a path of healing, growth and boundless discovery. A path that can take you all the way into the vast, spiritual dimensions of your being and the untold resources available there. This has been my own lived experience with healing, and it is the direct path that I now offer you.
If you are ready to heal at the depths, to inquire into the patterns that keep you in suffering, and to embody the deeper truth of who you are, I would be honoured to work with you.
Wild Reverence is a love affair with the wild earth, a remembering of our own wildness, and a communion with the inner sacred.
Safe, non-judgemental space for you to explore your wounds, dreams, deepest longings and gifts
Deep awareness-based work dissolving the root causes of suffering held in the body, yielding greater freedom, authenticity and wellbeing
Small group gatherings in the wilds of Dharug country. Time enough to wander, to heal and to take your place in the web of life
A space to authentically connect with other men; in which to feel truly heard and seen
I acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which I work and wander, the Dharug, Gundungurra and Wiradjuri people. I recognise their continued connection to the land and waters, and acknowledge that they never ceded sovereignty. I pay my respects to their elders past, present and emerging, to the lineage of nature-based wisdom they steward and to the dreaming they embody.
